As senior account executive at Singer Associates, Jessica Shelton assists with the management of media relations campaigns, special events and the production of communications materials for community outreach programs including coordination of production, design and layout for client advertisement placements. Ms. Shelton manages day-to-day activities for various clients including Lennar Hunters Point Shipyard, Norcal Waste Systems, Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, The Climate Group, The Shops at Rossmoor, Vulcan Materials Company and Bay Meadows Land Company, among others.
Recently, Ms. Shelton administered a citywide outdoor advertisement campaign for Norcal Waste Systems to help increase composting and recycling rates in San Francisco. In addition, she managed advertisement on the company’s garbage truck fleet to promote its world class composting and recycling programs.
Ms. Shelton assists with the management of major news events, such as the Climate & Energy Roundtable hosted by The Climate Group with Prime Minister Tony Blair and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and prominent multi-national CEOs to form a UK/CA agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Recently she coordinated RSVP’s and assisted with event management of the VIP event with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Venezuelan Embassy and CITGO for the performance of Gustavo Dudamel and the Simòn Bolìvar Youth Orchestra at Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
Other major event campaigns include: managing Norcal Waste Systems’ annual “Great Compost Giveaway” event to celebrate San Francisco’s citywide food scrap compost program; a healthcare series on behalf of Stanford Hospital & Clinics and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital; hosting and managing community outreach for Lennar Hunters Point Shipyard’s Community Benefits Program, including a quarterly Homebuyers Assistance workshop to discuss the opportunity for first-time homebuyers to qualify for homeownership; and coordinating media materials and media outreach for The Shops at Rossmoor’s grand opening event in Seal Beach, Calif.
Ms. Shelton assists with the daily management of communications and community outreach for the Lennar Hunters Point Shipyard redevelopment project in Bayview-Hunters Point and Stanford University’s expansion and rebuild of Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and the Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto.
Before she joined Singer Associates, Ms. Shelton was an intern at Fleishman Hillard in the corporate office where she handled daily public relations activities for Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), Autodesk, Chevron, HemoCue and Yahoo! in addition to supporting new business endeavors.
Prior to working in the public relations industry, Ms. Shelton worked for American Continental Group – a political consulting firm in Washington, DC.
Earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and sociology, Ms. Shelton graduated from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
