Entitlements for Stanford University Medical Center Renewal Project
Singer Associates continues to manage the communications and community outreach for Stanford University’s expansion and rebuild of Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and the Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto.

Peninsula Health Care District Measure V Campaign
Singer Associates managed the public information campaign on behalf of the Peninsula Health Care District to approve a land lease agreement to build a new $528 million hospital on District land to replace Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame due to seismic safety mandates. Measure V passed with more than 92 percent of the vote in a special mail-in ballot election. The new hospital is currently under construction and is planned to open in 2010.
Climate & Energy Roundtable with Prime Minister Blair and Governor Schwarzenegger
The most dire and consequential environmental problem facing our world today is global warming. Singer Associates was retained by The Climate Group to help prepare for a Climate & Energy Roundtable and press conference with Prime Minister Tony Blair, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and prominent multi-national CEOs in Long Beach, Calif. The Roundtable resulted in a UK/CA agreement to share ideas and technologies and reduce greenhouse emissions. Following the roundtable, the Governor signed into legislation AB 32, the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, which set an ambitious target to reduce California’s greenhouse gas emissions.
The Great Compost Giveaway
Singer Associates developed and coordinated the first annual Compost Giveaway with Sunset Scavenger and San Francisco Recreation and Parks to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of San Francisco’s Food Scrap Recycling Program.

Nationally, the agency represented Steven Schulman, a partner in Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman, which was indicted by the federal government for allegedly giving kickbacks to class action clients. Singer Associates was selected to provide litigation and corporate communication support for the well-publicized trial.
San Francisco’s Annual Heroes & Hearts Fundraiser
Singer Associates provided public relations support for the annual Heroes & Hearts fundraiser, which recognizes local heroes and celebrates renowned artists, raising money for San Francisco’s only public hospital, San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center.
