When it happened, we were there.
If you judge the success of an agency by the impact it has on society and its community, Singer Associates stands above the rest for its enormous impact on the future of the key issues facing California: transportation, politics, housing and healthcare, among others. Singer Associates is the Agency of Record and is spearheading the communications strategies for these significant projects:
2010
Stanford Hospital & Clinics and Lucile PACKARD Children’s Hospital
AC Transit Union Labor Dispute
Chevron Richmond Refinery Renewal Project
Hotel Council of San Francisco
San Francisco Airport Restaurant Employer Council
Stanford Hospital & Clinics and Lucile PACKARD Children’s Hospital
Singer Associates Public Affairs and Corporate Communications helped Stanford Hospital & Clinics and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital receive permission from the city of Palo Alto to move forward with a major rebuild of Stanford Hospital and important additions to Packard. Singer will now work with Stanford and Packard and its construction partners to manage the building phase of the project in a way that is sensitive to the impacts that such a large undertaking will have on the community. Singer Associates Public Relations created news media, community outreach, internet, and social media communications as part of our work for the hospitals.

AC Transit Union Labor Dispute
Singer Associates Public Relations and Crisis Communications helped AC Transit win a new contract with its employees who were represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 192. Singer was on hand to help present management’s perspective to the media, riders, and taxpayers during the contentious labor dispute. We created news, internet, and social media communications for AC Transit. Ultimately, a new contract that reflected the interests of both AC Transit and ATU Local 192 was implemented. AC Transit continues to provide exemplary service to the 236,000 daily riders who depend on its buses.

Chevron Richmond Refinery Renewal Project
Singer Associates worked with Chevron to build community support for the Richmond Renewal Project. Singer helped coordinate informational events and refinery tours to educate the public on the refinery’s environmental practices and plans for the future. The Renewal Project would put nearly 1,000 people to work and make the existing facilities more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Hotel Council of San Francisco
Singer Associates is the agency of record for the Hotel Council of San Francisco, the trade association of all of San Francisco’s major hotels. The agency helped Hotel Council members reach a new labor agreement with the Local 2 Unite Here hotel union amid a heated and highly public battle that included strikes and boycotts during a two year period. Singer provided strategic counsel and managed communications to the media, Local 2 employees, elected leaders, and community groups.

San Francisco Airport Restaurant Employer Council
Singer Associates is the agency of record for SFO restaurant owners (AREC) and managed their communications and media relations during the contract dispute between AREC and Local 2 UNITEHERE, which represents airport restaurant employees. With Singer’s help, AREC was able secure Local 2’s agreement on the new contract, while making sure that AREC’s point of view was well represented in the media.
MBIA/Asian Art Museum
Singer Associates provided crisis and financial communications to help MBIA resolve a delicate financial disagreement with the Asian Art Museum.

Pet Food Institute
Singer Associates helped the Pet Food Institute, the national trade association for the pet food industry, beat a proposal to ban the sale of pets in San Francisco.
100th Bay to Breakers
Singer Associates Public Relations in San Francisco was selected to rebrand and refocus the world’s most unique footrace’s centennial celebration in a way that emphasized its historic and athletic pedigree while keeping its fun loving spirit alive. Singer handled all aspects of the historic 100th Bay to Breakers footrace. Our agency managed the event’s presence in the news, provided advertising, and publicized the race’s new zero tolerance rules. Bay to Breakers’ 100th anniversary was a huge success and Singer Associates has been retained to handle the 101st running in 2012.
